Religious Education

Holy Cross Religious Education program empowers students to live meaningful lives inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ and to serve others while becoming leaders of Jesus Christ. We offer classes on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:45 pm September through April for Kindergarten through 8th grade. For more about the program, click here.

Boy Scouts

Boy Scout Troop 76 has been active in Holy Cross Parish for nearly 80 years. Boy Scouts provides an opportunity for boys from age 11 to 18 to work in a cooperative manner with each other while developing leadership in a Catholic environment. The Troop's most popular activity is camping, with 7 campouts during the school year, summer camp each June and a Hi- Adventure trip every other year. Additionally, service to the Church and community is emphasized through various badge activities, service work and Eagle Scout projects. The Troop generally meets weekly during the school year on Monday nights from 7:00 to 8:30 in the school cafeteria.

Cub Scouts

Cub Scouting is a long-standing tradition at Holy Cross Church. Pack 76 has been chartered for nearly 80 years, and serves boys in kindergarten through fifth grades. Boys are divided into groups, called dens, by grade level, and participate in activities appropriate to their ages. Once a month we have a Pack meeting which includes all the Cub Scouts and their families. Other Pack include the Pinewood Derby race, bowling, swimming, games, camping and more. There are two opportunities to earn religious awards to deepen the Scout's understanding of his relationship with God. Religious Awards are presented at the Scout Mass in February. We welcome boys who are part of Holy Cross School, parish, and community to come see what we're all about! Visit our website at www.pack76.org or contact us at 402-650-1846 or leescouter@gmail.com.

Girl Scouts

Holy Cross Girl Scout troops emphasize faith, learning, service, leadership skills, and social development. Activities focus on wellness, nature, science, the community, the arts, and culture, among other things, offering girls the opportunity to discover their individual strengths and interests while working together as a team. Students deepen their relationships with one another outside the classroom as they have fun exploring the world around them, completing badge work and service projects, and making a difference in the community.

Youth Group

Holy Cross offers youth groups for middle school and high school students. Activities include bible study, service projects, field trips, weekly prayer, movie night, NCYC, CLI, and many parish activities.  Currently we are looking for volunteers to lead these groups.  Please contact Elizabeth Hansen (ehansen@holycrossomaha.org) for more questions.
